The Convictions were a California classic rock band formed by Tim Baker in Valencia / Santa Clarita, California in 2010. A 4 piece band playing classic rock, the band comprised Tim Baker on rhythm guitar, lead vocals and Roland keyboard, Tim Pinch on lead guitar and Hammond B3, Rob Pierce on drums and backing vocals and myself on bass and vocals. Baker and I swapped guitars with him on bass and I on rhythm on a couple of songs including Long Train Running (Doobie Brothers). On Neil Young’s Cinnamon girl I sang lead vocal with Tim.
All recordings were made and mixed by Tim Pinch of Tim Pinch Recording, Burbank, California.
The demo sampler below is 9 minutes long and contains short cuts of each of the other tracks which are complete recordings. I do have more backing tracks created by the band so maybe I’ll add my own vocals and see how they sound. If they are good enough I’ll post them.
These recordings are all live, having been recorded at Vincenzos Pizza shortly after the band launched.
