Erik is good friend of mine. When he was starting out in LA I like to think playing at our open mic night “Hope-N-Mic” helped him to gain the confidence to play in public.
Erik has a great voice and writes some incredible songs. I don’t think I have any of his recordings but if I can find a couple I’ll post them.
Meantime, here is a photo of Erik and his band EAB, at the El Rey theater in Hollywood. I’m off to the right playing bass.
Not long after this gig Erik met and married Rhonda Royal and the act became Anders-Royal Band. They did make a CD (without me) but they were living in the South Bay area at the time and it was just not a practical commute. Basically all around the time I was in The Convictions and then Right Side Up.
I may still have some video of Anders-Royal performing, in which case I will post it. I think his songs may still be available on Apple or Spotify.
