Cochlear Implant A+8

I was not going to post until next week but yesterday my equilibrium was pretty close to normal and today I am happy to say I am back to normal.

That makes it 58 days from surgery to get back to an even keel. Not sure if that is considered good or bad, but it is mine.

Sound continues to improve as does speech recognition.

Last night I practiced the guitar for about an hour. This morning I spent an hour practicing the piano and followed by 20 minutes of ear training using Rick Beato’s ear training. Later this evening I will do 30 minutes or so of guitar plus another 20 minutes or so of bass practice and will try to keep that a regular regimen.

I know a lot of people have quite a bit of trouble with music appreciation, but so far I am very pleased with the results. To be fair, I am relying on my left ear and when it is in place, my left ear hearing aid for a lot of the lower frequencies but I am also spending at least 3 hours a day with no hearing aid in my left ear at all, trying to force my brain to use my right ear more.
