Lovers And Fools

In 2008 I was living alone and working in the Los Angeles area. As a consequence, I had a lot of time to compose and spent a significant amount of time performing at open mic nights in the Valencia, Santa Clarita, Lake Elizabeth, North Hollywood and Glendale areas.

Lovers And Fools is one of the songs I wrote at that time and played at the open mic events. I wrote it with jazz pianist, singer songwriter, Diana Krall in mind although I never did send it anywhere, just played it myself. I continue to play it as part of my regular sets today. I usually play it as it was originally written in 4:4 time but I am also some way through creating a 6:8 version. Somehow, 6:8 seems a better option on the piano.
